Maria has a stand up comedy career that spanned 12 years and performed to quite literally millions of people having performed every year at gay pride to audiences of over 250,000. She was also the first British stand up to be invited to perform at the infamous Michigan Women's Music Festival, USA.

Maria was a regular at all of the comedy clubs in London as well as performing regularly at Glasgay, Queer Up North, Mayfest and Edinburgh.
